Hey! My name is Jermel Lewis. I’m the owner of Oak City Contracting. I have been in the construction industry for over 6 years, and have been in roofing for five of those years. After constant encouragement from many of my clients at the time, I started Oak City Contracting in October of 2020.

In my experience working in the home improvement industry, I often saw a disconnect between clients and contractors. Reliability, communication, and customer service were lacking. I decided I wanted to change that narrative. Here at Oak City Contracting, our clients and their homes are our number one priority. We are committed to providing the best customer care and quality of workmanship, so much so that we warranty our roof replacements for 10 years.

I was born and raised in the Fayetteville, NC area. I studied Music Education at Fayetteville State University and graduated with honors. After college, I realized my true calling was giving back to my community as a Project Manager. I’ve worked in the Roofing Industry for over two years, assisting homeowners in protecting their homes through the Insurance and Retail Roof Replacement Process. I’ve helped hundreds of clients in the local area with their home improvement projects, offering guidance on issues like interior leaks, roof repairs, attic concerns, and gutter requirements. As the son of an Educator and a Military Veteran, I take particular joy in helping them meet all their goals for home contracting needs.
